Our Investment themes focus of three fundamental investment opportunities:
- Opportunistic Investing in markets or situations in transition
- Value add opportunities with local partners
- Special Situations where our problem solving skills and entrepreneurial skills can add intrinsic value beyond financial engineering and at the asset or operating company level.
Atago Pacific Partners seeks controlled investment positions throughout all asset classes in real estate opportunities. The firm also has experience in acquiring debt instruments, operating companies through asset backed buyouts and other highly structured financing strategies to access high quality real estate opportunities. The Partnership’s core or “sweet spot” investments are in the $20-$75 million.
Our operating model is decentralized and operating partner focused. We believe that having local operating partners allows the firm to be both flexible in our investment approach as well leverage off of local “best practices” in specific local markets and product types. Given that Atago Pacific Partners started in real estate more than 60 years ago as developers / builders, we bring the same bottom up entrepreneurial style and discipline to all of our investment and management opportunities.
